Hi, I’m Elina—the heart behind Cook It Right Now.

My love for cooking started in the warm, fragrant kitchen of my childhood, standing beside my grandmother Monica, a talented chef who worked in one of California’s most renowned hotels. More than just a mentor, she was my daily companion and my inspiration. We’d spend hours together whisking, chopping, tasting, and laughing. The kitchen was our world—a place where stories were told, traditions were passed down, and love was always the secret ingredient.

In 2022, I lost my beloved grandma to cancer. Her passing left an ache in my heart, but it also ignited a deeper purpose in me. Cook It Right Now is my way of honoring her legacy—by continuing to share the recipes, tips, and joy that she passed on to me. Every dish I create is a memory of her, and a way to keep her spirit alive at the table.

Today, I’m also a mom to a beautiful two-year-old daughter, Dinna. Her giggles and bright eyes bring so much happiness to my kitchen. She may be little, but her smile brings the biggest help in my kitchen. Cooking with her reminds me why I started this journey—to build a new generation of kitchen memories rooted in love, simplicity, and authenticity.

Through this blog, I hope to inspire others to cook with heart, to try new things, and to pass their own traditions forward. Whether you’re here for a quick tip, a family-friendly recipe, or just a bit of food nostalgia—you’re in the right place.

Thank you for being here and welcome to my kitchen.

Elina 💛
